MSI Wind U90 Netbook For $195

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

The latest fantastic deal from ZipZoomFly is the MSI Wind U90 netbook for a mere $194.99 shipped. Its 80GB hard drive is nothing to marvel at, however, and most of the specs are similarly sub-standard.

It features an 8.9-inch LCD screen, the Intel Atom N270, 512 MB of RAM, a tiny 3-cell battery, and SUSE Linux. Some have taken issue with the OS choice, criticizing it for incompatiable drivers, but an Ubuntu install should easily fix those issues.

Is it worth it? I’d say so. You can’t get much on a netbook for under $200, and the few options in that range have been crappy at worst and creative at best. MSI makes a nice netbook, so if you want in on this deal, I’d advise you act fast.
